Hello! I’m Chrissy. I’m an artist and live with my husband and 2 children in a house on top of a steep hill in Bristol. My 6 year old son took this photo of me in Paradise Bottom, a beautiful woodland just outside the city. I’m at my most happiest when stomping through the woods searching for interesting mosses and fungi with my family.

I value kindness and a good cup of coffee.

I studied Fine Art at Falmouth College of Arts and have a MFA from Chelsea College of Art and Design. A fascination with nature has informed much of my art practice ever since I was a young art student. I used painting as a way of trying to amplify the beauty and preciousness of the natural world. It was the beginning of my activism.

Since having my children I have become preoccupied to doing whatever I can to make the world a better place. My climate campaigning has gone up several notches and I’m a proud member of Parents For Future and local environmental groups in Bristol. My art practice has become motivated on raising awareness of climate justice and environmental issues.

In 2022 I was awarded a free studio space with Hypha Studios and am planning some art workshops with the local primary schools.

Do you have a project you’d like illustrating? I’d love to hear from you! Send me an email or fill out your details on my contact page.
